Visual Basic Programming
at Cambria
Cambria programmers created their first Visual Basic program back
in the early 1990s and since that time have written many programs
using this tool.
The Cambria Visual Basic Programming Team
The Visual Basic programmers in Cambria include Dick Crewdson, James
Cerezo, and James Bickley. James Cerezo in particular is knowledgeable
enough in Visual Basic Programming to have written a program to
convert Visual Basic code do Delphi. As you might guess, James is
also a Delphi programming expert.
Sample Visual Basic Programming Projects
Cambria’s first large visual basic program was one for American
Western Life Insurance Company to enable their sales representatives
to present insurance plans to customers, to cost them out on the
spot, and to print the proposal and the plan.
Another Visual Basic programming effort was for a construction
company that wanted a rough and ready program to run in construction
trailers to control the multitude of change orders that can take
place in a major construction site.
VB.Net and Visual Basic
Today the program of choice for Visual Basic programmers is VB.Net
which can be used interchangeably with C# to create either standalone
or web enabled programs. Cambria has several VB.Net programs under
way today.
